SEWER SCOPE INSPECTIONS
Our sewer scope services are performed by experienced sewer line industry professionals, using specialized equipment to identify potential issues. Our services are particularly useful for homeowners, buyers, and property managers who want to assess the health of their sewer system.
-
Benefits:Prevents Future Problems: Identifying issues early can save money on costly repairs. Peace of Mind: Essential for home buyers to avoid unexpected expenses. Compliance and Planning: Helps meet local codes and plan for future repairs.
-
How It Works:1. Camera Inspection: Our high-resolution camera is inserted into the sewer line via an access point, such as a cleanout, plumbing vent stack on the roof or a removed toilet. 2. Live Video Feed: Our camera sends a live feed to a monitor, allowing our technician and client to see the current condition of the sewer pipe. 3. Identification of Issues: o Blockages: Debris, grease buildup, or foreign objects. o Root Intrusion: Roots infiltrating the sewer line through cracks or joints. o Pipe Damage: Cracks, corrosion, bellies or collapsed sections. o Material Condition: Assessment of pipe materials (e.g., cast iron, clay, PVC) and their expected lifespan. 4. Report: A detailed report is provided, with video footage and images, highlighting the condition of the sewer line and any recommendations for maintenance, repair or replacement.
-
When to Get a Sewer Scope:Before Buying a Home: Older homes or properties with large trees may have hidden sewer issues. Routine Maintenance: After years of use, it’s always a good idea to have your line cleaned and scoped to ensure proper functionality. Persistent Drain Problems: Frequent backups or slow drains.
-
How It Works1. We scope the line to identify the location and type of issue the sewer line is experiencing; this ensures targeted cleaning and solutions. 2. After the problem has properly been identified, we deploy our specialized tools to clear the line. 3. Once the line has been cleaned, we perform an additional inspection to ensure the line is cleared, fully functional and the pipe is in operational condition. 4. If more serious issues are present, we discuss potential solutions 5. A before and after video is provided to our clients
-
